TRID Safe Harbor Passes in the House
Yesterday, the House voted 303 to 121 to adopt the Homebuyers Assistance Act, which would provide lenders with a safe harbor period from enforcement actions and lawsuits if they can demonstrate good faith in attempting to comply with the new integrated TILA/RESPA disclosures. The bill now heads to the Senate. However, President Obama has threatened to veto the bill if it passes Senate. [10/8/15]
