The NCUA issued a warning to consumers regarding a telephone scam in which consumers are contacted by a caller claiming to work for NCUA and asking for personal and financial information. NCUA has stated that they would not request information in such manner and that the attempt to gather such information is fraudulent. The advisement included actions that should be considered by affected consumers. [12/18/15]
