NCUA to Host Webinar on Internal Controls and Accounting
It can be particularly challenging for smaller credit unions to establish appropriate internal controls with only a handful of staff members. NCUA is hosting a webinar on Aug. 9 at 2 pm Eastern, entitled “Internal Control and Accounting Tips for Small Credit Union,” that is designed to provide practical information about the purpose of internal controls, the segregation of duties, supervisory committee audits, the use of prepaid accounts, and accounting for Other Real Estate Owned transactions (OREOs).
