NCUA is asking credit unions to notify their members about a telephone scam in which a caller, claiming to work for NCUA, informs the member that his or her credit or debit card has been blocked or frozen. The caller then asks for the member’s social security number, account number, date of birth and home address for verification purpose. [12/18/15]
