During her testimony yesterday before the House Financial Services Committee, NCUA Chair Debbie Matz said that credit unions don’t represent their members. In fact, she said it twice; adding that she didn’t know who credit unions represent. Representative Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.) was quoted as saying it was one of the most outrageous things he has heard since being elected to Congress nearly five years ago. [7/27/15]
