House Members Concerned About Adverse Effects of New HMDA Rule
Nineteen members of the House Financial Services Committee have written to the CFPB’s Richard Corday to say they are concerned about the impact on consumers from the recent HMDA revisions. The letter expresses concern that the additional regulatory burden will likely result in fewer institutions offering mortgage loans and that higher exemption thresholds would alleviate that potentially adverse effect.
