The CFPB has reached a settlement in its lawsuit against Forster & Garbus, LLP for their illegal debt-collection practices. This settlement includes a $100,00 penalty and an order that the company cannot file lawsuits against consumers unless there are specific documents supporting the debt and have attorneys review these documents.
