Beware of Employees Exiting Vaults with Fat Purses
Former manager of a Michigan credit union stole $1.9 million over 13 years by taking cash from the vault and hiding it in her purse. She then deposited the cash back in accounts she controlled at the credit union (in amounts under $10,000), and made it look like the missing cash was on deposit with the credit union's correspondent bank.
