ABA: Reducing Frequency of Call Report Line Items Isn’t as Helpful as it Sounds
The FFIEC's proposal to reduce the frequency of reporting of certain line items might sound like regulatory relief, but in practice, banks will still need to collect the data at the same frequency in order to provide the cumulative data required every six months. The ABA has ideas on what would be more substantive in terms of Call Report relief. [8/29/17]
